The Beaver Dam Hot Pepper
The Beaver Dam is known to be a very tasty hot pepper and packs some nice warm heat that slowly creeps up. The Beaver Dam pepper starts out lime green then slowly turns golden orange to ruby red. We are growing 3 Beaver Dam Plants this year and so far we have two are mature in size which are about 8-9” long and starting to break in color. We also will be pickling the beaver Dam pepper at different color stages. Lime green stage, Golden orange stage and the Ruby Red Stage. The Ruby Red Stage is the hottest and is at it’s fully ripened stage. Here is a photo of a Beaver Dam Pepper that will be ready to be pickled soon. We are doing two types of pickling, one lime green and the other will be green and red mixed up.
The second photo is one of my Beaverdam Pepper plants next to a Cayenne Plant. This Beaver Dam is almost ready to be picked for the green stage.
